Please see the Upcoming Events list for Committee Meeting Information ARCHIVES/HISTORIAN The Historian is responsible for maintaining the permanent records for the group, chronicling the events of the association, and continuing the development of a pictorial history for the group.
This committee is responsible for handling all associational recognition activities including the founders award, life time membership, outgoing board members, etc.
COLLEGE TO CAREER STATEWIDE JOB FAIR This committee is responsible for planning and executing the College to Career Fair, to be held April 8, 2008 at the Cobb Galleria Center
CONFERENCE/WORKSHOPS This committee is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the annual conference.
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING This committee is responsible for the annual award of the Jack Mangham Award and conducts workshops and other activities that support experiential activities (Co-op, Intern, Volunteer, Service Learning, etc.) in Georgia.
FINANCE/BUDGET This person is responsible for handling the finances for the association and making regular reports to the board on a regular basis and presenting a formal report at the annual business meeting.
MEMBERSHIP This committee produces the membership directory, manages the listserv, recruits new members, produces the membership brochure, and maintains the accuracy of the membership database.
MARKETING The committee is responsible for the marketing activities of the association. This has included the development of a display booth, establishing liaison activities with affiliate groups, and in general increasing the level of recognition of the association to the State of Georgia.
NEWSLETTER The committee produces regular publications (Internet and printed) that inform the associational membership as to the activities of the group.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT/DRIVE-IN WORKSHOP The committee is responsible for organizing, developing and implementing the annual Winter Drive In Workshop. The committee centers the annual workshop on topics pertinent to the association.
SACE/NACE STATE REPRESENTATIVE This individual is responsible for keeping the association up-to-date with both regional and national issues of importance and also with representing GACE to these affiliate groups.
This committee is tasked with updating the Standard Operating Procedures and Bylaws of the Association.
SPECIAL PROJECTS COMMITTEE This committee is responsible for coming up with new initiatives for the association, which most recently have included a joint meeting with SHRM-Atlanta and a bus tour of technology companies in the Atlanta Metro area.
SPONSORSHIP This committee identifies and builds long-term relationships with member sponsors and committee sponsors.
TECHNICAL COLLEGES This committee is employed at one of the Technical Colleges and informs the GACE Board of happenings at the Technical Colleges Peer Group meetings.
TECHNOLOGY The committee is responsible for maintaining the association's website, running eFairs for the group and handling other technology related activities and functions for the group.
USC-CACE This person is GACE's representative to the University System Committee on Career Services and Cooperative Education. They serve as liaison between the two organizations for the purpose of communications and coordination of activities.
LICENSURE AD HOC COMMITTEE This committee is responsible for ensuring that CEU recognition is provided for all workshops and annual meetings of the association. This recognition is important for those individuals who are licensed and are required to earn CEU's. VACANT
