You’re invited to the Competency Symposium 2017:
Drafting a Blueprint for the Future
Competency development is essential for student success for life after graduation. Universities are integrating this initiative campus-wide by infusing intentional student learning mapped to competencies into the curriculum and co-curriculum. Clemson University and The University of Tampa are co-hosting a “Strategies for Institutional-wide Competency Development” symposium on May 24 and 25, 2017 on the campus of Clemson University.
We have designed this symposium to bring faculty, employers, campus administrators, career services staff, and other campus partners together to discuss strategic, campus-wide approaches. Institutions will be encouraged to bring teams, but individuals may also benefit from this experience and will have the opportunity to connect with other individual attendees.
• Who: Faculty, employers, campus administrators, career services staff, and other campus partners who are interested in, or at any point in, the development of a competency initiative
• What: Opportunity for participants to identify where they are in developing a competency initiative and have in-depth conversations to develop next steps
• When: Wednesday May 24 at 6:00pm to Thursday May 25, 2017 at 4:30pm
• Where: Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina
• Registration Fee: $75 per person (Register 4 and the 5th registration is FREE**)
Have we caught your attention? Interested in seeing the symposium schedule? Good!

GACE is turning the table on employers! For one day only, recruiters will work the room and colleges & universities will be behind the table. This will be a great "one stop shop" for employers to learn how to recruit talent from GACE member schools and for GACE member schools to recruit new employers to hire their students.
