Call for Programs

The 2018 conference theme is “Celebrating 50 Years of GACE: Decades of Change, Waves of Opportunity.”  We invite you to submit a breakout session proposal to share you expertise, experiences, and best practices with colleagues.


Deadline Extended: March 12, 2018


    • Each accepted presenter must register for the GACE conference unless approved by the Conference Committee.
    • No honorarium or travel expenses will be paid for conference presenters.

    The goal for the Breakout Sessions is to provide programs about a variety of topics that will appeal to both career services professionals as well as employers. Please note that the topics listed below serve only as examples, and new ideas are always welcome!

    Potential Topics Include:

    • Workforce Development
    • Diversity and Inclusion
    • New employer trends for new hires
    • Best practices for student and/or talent development
    • Engagement and partnerships between employers and universities
    • Developing specific student populations (undecided, alumni, international, etc.)
    • Any other ideas that are relevant to colleges and/or employers

    Important Breakout Session Notes:

    • Each session will last for one hour
    • Sessions will take place on May 30 and May 31.
    • Presenters must submit a copy of their presentation/notes (if applicable) to Theresa Duggar ( by May 25.
