Registration Questions

What is the deadline for Early-Bird registration?

The Early-Bird rate is available through March 2, 2020 11:59 p.m. (ET). The standard rate will begin on March 3, 2020.

What is the deadline for General registration?

General registration is available from March 2, 2020 through May 10, 2020 11:59 p.m. (ET).

What is included in my conference registration?

Full conference registrants enjoy access to breakout sessions, general/keynote sessions, networking activities, evening events, plus various meals and snacks, including:

  • Breakfast on Thursday and Friday
  • Lunch on Wednesday
  • Dinner on Wednesday and Thursday

    Must I be a GACE member to get the member registration rate?

    Yes, only GACE members are eligible for the member rate.

    What if I need to cancel my registration?

    Cancellations must be in writing and made by noon 14 business days before conference (May 6) in order to receive a refund. All cancellations will be charged a $25 administrative processing fee. Late cancellations forfeit a refund. 

    Please email GACE Treasurer Bridgette McDonald for all registration refunds.

    Where will I pick up my name badge?

    All badges are to be picked up at the conference venue. Attendees and speakers may pick up their badges and registration materials at the registration desk during the following hours:

    • Tuesday, May 26, 2020: 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. 
    • Wednesday, May 30, 2020: 8 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
    • Thursday, May 31, 2020: 8 a.m. – 10 a.m.

      Hotel, Travel, & Conference Schedule Questions

      What are the dates and location of the GACE 2018 Annual Conference?

        The GACE 2020 Annual Conference is scheduled for May 26 - May 29, 2020, at Jekyll Island Club Resort. 371 Riverview Drive, Jekyll Island, GA 31527.

        Where can I reserve a room? What are the discounted rates and cutoff dates?

          Rooms are available at Jekyllclub.com using Group Name: GACE GA Assn of Colleges & Employers (Group number 20605487), by calling 800-535-9547 or email reservations@jekyllclub.com. A deposit of one night is required when making individual reservation and a 7 day cancellation policy is in place. The discounted rate for GACE Conference attendees is:

          $179 Standard King or Double Queen, per night

          The “cut off” date for reserving rooms in the room block is 5:00 p.m. on April 27, 2020.

          Resort Fee of $20 is charged per night per room and includes the following:   Housekeeping gratuity, In-room coffee, In-room bottled water (2), Daily newspaper, In-room safe, Local phone calls and in-coming faxes, 800 number and long distance access charges, High Speed Wireless Internet Services, Use of the Fitness Room, Pool towel service (seasonal), Complimentary on property parking, Use of Computer Station with printer in front desk lobby.

          Am I able to get GACE’s discounted room rate for the dates before or after the conference?

            The group rate is available three days pre- and post-conference, depending on the hotel’s availability; however, GACE cannot guarantee availability of pre- or post-conference rates. Please contact Jekyllclub.com for more information. 

            How do I get more information about area attractions?

              Learn more about things to do while visiting Jekyll Island, Georgia. Information about networking activities at Jekyll Island will be included on the website prior to the conference.

              General Questions

              How can I get a copy of the conference program?

                The conference program will be available for download in May 2020. Copies will also be distributed to registered attendees onsite.

                Check www.gace.org/Conference regularly for updates on sessions and special programming.

                What should I wear to the conference?

                  The GACE conference is set in a relaxed, professional atmosphere. Attire is business casual. Meeting room temperatures can be cool and the climate may vary, so it is recommended that you wear layered clothing for comfort. Evening dinner attire will be provided in the weeks leading up to the conference. Check back to the conference main page for updates.

                  Are children allowed at the GACE 2020 Conference?

                    Although attendees may bring family members to the conference location, only paid registrants wearing appropriate conference badges will be permitted to attend conference events.
