Georgia Gwinnett College - #StudentSummit2016

Georgia Gwinnett College’s Career Center is pleased to announce a pilot program, #StudentSummit2016. This pilot program is designed to provide professional development for student assistants across Career Centers in Georgia. 

We invite you and your student assistants to submit a session proposal. Deadline has been extended to December 11th. Presenters (One or two student presenters; a staff may support the students in their presentation) must be experienced in the field.

 This program is open to ALL student assistants. Some of the session highlights will include: 

• ·        Social Media- Does it really work for students? Which media site engages students best? What is the marketing strategy?
• ·        Programming- What events are successful? What are the names/titles of the successful events? What is the concept of each program?
• ·        Best Practices- When you are hired…..What are your daily tasks? What are you in charge of such as: campus outreach, resumes, and programming? What does it mean to be professional?
• ·        Networking- Students will divide into groups to brag whose college has best practices!

When: Friday, January 29, 2015

Time: 9 AM to 3 PM

Session Length: 1 hour

(45 minute presentation & 15 minutes for questions)

Students: $50/person; Staff: $50/person.
