This position provides career exploration, guidance, skill development, programming, and alum/prospective employer connections for students interested in the Creative and Green industry clusters.
Provides career counseling services to undergraduate students, graduate students and alumni.
Provides information to students on topics that affect career opportunities and advancement such as job search strategies, educational and training opportunities, occupational outlook information, career enhancement materials and resume writing.
Conducts workshops and programs on career planning and placement topics.
Assists students in the development of resumes and makes recommendations for improvements.
May administer and interpret a variety of career assessment inventories to assist students with career exploration and planning.
May assist in creating or editing communications materials related to career planning and placement such as newsletters, catalogs, departmental brochures and fliers.
Maintains records and files of all counseling sessions.
Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating marketing programs to increase student awareness of and participation in career services programs.
Maintains professional growth by participating in educational programs and professional organizations.
Performs related responsibilities as required.
A master's degree in psychology, counseling or a related field.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
