    Job Summary
    Provide guidance and advise for students and alumni on career development and preparation related to experiential learning, job search process, graduate school planning, and other career-related concerns.

    Responsibilities
    -Perform related duties as assigned to support the mission of the University
    -Develop and present career-related programs and/or instruct credit-bearing career development courses upon request of supervisor, the Coordinator or Experiential Learning, or college specific stakeholders associated with student success.
    -Provide support and assistance with career fairs and other career programs coordinated by the Office of Career and Professional Development Employer Relations team
    -Assist with University and division sponsored recruitment events (i.e., scholarship interviews, campus open houses, counselor lunches, and recruitment fairs)
    -Create and implement a communication plan for students to enhance delivery of information about resources and services
    -Assist students with strategies for effective job and graduate school searches
    -Guide and coach students in assigned academic colleges or campuses to create and implement individualized career development plans in alignment with the Office's four-year career plan
    -Administer and interpret career-related assessments
    -Provide feedback and instruction on the purpose and composition of documents, including resumes, cover letters, statements of purpose, and others depending on student need
    -Engage in professional development with students by providing feedback on effective communication strategies with employers through practice interviews, career fair preparation, and other relevant activities
    -Develop partnerships with faculty and staff associated with student success in assigned college(s)/campus(s) to increase student engagement in professional development activities including career related events and utilization of departmental services. This may include programming, serving on interdepartmental boards, or assisting with events specific to the assigned population(s)
    -Engage in regular communication with faculty and staff about career related programs and recruitment efforts of major companies
    -Implement strategic use of technology to enhance delivery of resources and services


    Required Qualifications
    Educational Requirements: Master's degree
    Required Experience: Three or more years of related work experience

    Preferred Qualifications
    Additional Preferred Qualifications: Knowledgeable of career-related platform software such as Handshake, Symplicity, or PurpleBriefcase and familiarity with career assessments such as MBTI or FOCUS 2

    Preferred Educational Qualifications: Master's degree in higher education, counseling, student services, education, psychology or related field
