GACE GIVES:

GACE Gives is a charitable fundraiser sponsored by GACE to benefit a non-profit organization with mission that aligns with GACE values.

The organization to be presented at 2024 Annual Conference is House of Hope Refuge of Love, Inc.

House of Hope Refuge of Love, Inc. is passionately committed to restoring lives of female survivors of child sex trafficking in Georgia by providing them with nurturing environment to heal, grow, and rebuild their lives.

To support the House of Hope Refuge of Love, Inc, bring donation items to Annual Conference 2024 at Sea Palms to the designated GACE Gives Donation Drop-Off.

We are collecting the following items:

Tissue & Paper Towels
Shampoo & Conditioner
Shaving Cream & Razors
Deodorant
Feminine Products
Mouthwash, toothpaste, & toothbrushes
Lotion, Body Spray, & moisturizer.

You can drop off your donations for the House of Hope Refuge of Love, Inc at the GACE Donation Drop-off in the registration area (lobby/foyer) at the Sea Palms Resort, St. Simons Island, GA.

CONFERENCE SOCIAL ACTIVITIES:

Networking Pool Party on Thursday, May 30 2-4pm on site.

Planned Group Activity to St. Simons Lighthouse Museum on Thursday, May 30 from 2-4pm. Sign up to participate here. Capacity of 12 people. Sea Palms shuttle will depart for activity site at 2pm and return at 3:40pm.

Individually planned activities at Sea Palms like golf, bike riding, and more!

Individually/group planned activities in the St. Simons local area, such as, Fort Frederica, Golden Isles Marina, Gullah/Geechee Tour, WWII Homefront Museum, The Stables at Frederica, The Shops of Pier Village, and Neptune Park Fun Zone.

Hospitality Suite on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights in Dogwood Suite.

During our organized Social Networking timeslot on Thursday, June 1st, 2023, conference attendees can participate in:

GACE-specific activities (Pool Party and Planned Group Activity to St. Simons Lighthouse Museum) are pre-planned by the Conference Committee.
You may individually plan activities at Sea Palms to secure your spots.
Some individually/group planned activities in the local area do not require planning. Just show up with your new GACE friends or take some time to yourself.

Activities at Sea Palms or in St. Simons: some may require scheduling in advance, so give them a call or check out their webpage for details. Others you can just show up!

PACKING INFORMATION:

Dress business casual or professional attire but be comfortable for programming.

Dress as casual or formal for President’s Dinner.

Dress in all white for the Le Blanc Awards Banquet. Cocktail attire encouraged but not required. Just show up in your all-white.

In 1988 François Pasquier and a few friends organized a dinner party in Paris. As this was well before cell phones, the internet, or social media, they decided to wear white to add elegance to the atmosphere for their dinner party, but more importantly, to be able to find each other in Bois de Boulogne Park. The group had so much fun that they continued every year until the Paris experience grew to 1,000 guests. Now, the Dîner en Blanc in Paris hosts approximately 10,000 guests every year.

Our Le Blanc Party will be happening at the Awards Banquet on Thursday, May 30th 6:30-10:30pm at the Courtyard.

Participants are encouraged to wear all-white and participate in the Best Dressed superlatives.
